Noah Lis, a 14 year old vocalist from western Massachusetts, has just finished recording his first album. The album, entitled "Simple Things", has a diverse song selection, featuring a little something for everyone, and is to date, one of the teen's greatest accomplishments. He credits it as being not only easy listening, but a fun, lively album sure to bring a smile.

Noah was a tiny ball of energy, not quite four years old, the first time he belted the National Anthem while standing on a coffee table in his living room. His family had no idea where he had learned the song. Although the Lis' realized their young son loved music, they didn't take it seriously until he received a keyboard at age 6 and just sat down and played...the National Anthem.

"I could hear the notes in my head," claimed Noah, who began piano lessons shortly thereafter. Today, Noah is 14 years old and is still singing the song he had such an affection for. He has performed for the Springfield Falcons, school events, nursing homes, ball games, and local talent shows.

During the summer of 2004, Noah attended the Dane Kane summer enrichment program, and was later invited to join the Dan Kane Singers' 145 member choral group. "It is a tremendous honor and, through Dan, I've been exposed to many great experiences and have been fortunate enough to meet extremely talented people of all ages," says Noah.

Currently, Noah is an honor student in his freshman year of high school, as well as an accomplished pianist, saxophonist, and vocalist. He spends a half an hour before school playing piano, and continues in the afternoon singing and playing at least three hours every day. He performs piano and vocals for many local events including fairs, fundraisers, senior center activities, memorials, and local shows. He also plays alto sax with his high school symphonic band, marching band, and jazz band, and has recently mastered tenor sax. Although he has dabbled in drums and guitar, he is looking forward to learning the trumpet or flute.

His future goals include attending college as a music major and sharing his musical gift with others.

Despite Noah's musical background, his parents insist he's just a regular teen who loves to shoot hoops, swim, snowboard, play video games, build bike jumps, and race his gas-powered go-kart.

They credit his personality for the strength behind his passion. He is a positive person who is always happy, enthusiastic, and driven to perfect his musical ability.
